Hi
I know I've been very quiet for a while, between work and my studies I've been quite busy. However I must add this week the 1 October marked a very important day in my life. I choose to see it as my first anniversary. It was the day that my soul-mate asked to be his "girlfriend". Of cause it was all romantic. He came to Johannesburg on holiday and after spending a week together he asked me. I can still remember as if it was just yesterday. "Verna I'd like to ask you to be my special friend, but before you answer I'd like you to think of it as saying yes to being my future wife" At the time I was shocked that he'd ask me so soon so I told him I'd pray about it. I made him wait 3 weeks for his answer so the night before he went home I said yes on the 1st of October. On the 28 January Cecil and I will be married 2 years and I can say with all honesty I have never regretted saying yes for even one second after that night. Apart from choosing my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ I believe it was the best decision I've ever made.
To my hubby I want to say: "I am proud to be identified with you. You still the man I met 7 years ago. You showing me on a daily basis what perfect love is. You've never changed since the day I met you - you still the guy that knows the guys at the filling station by name, the one who is not shy to tell the world what you stand for and believing, you still don't compromise with what you know is right no matter what, you still get up each morning and start dancing when I'm struggling to open my eyes. Keep trusting in the Lord with all your heart and never lean on your own understanding. In all of your ways acknowledge him and he will direct your path.
Love Always Your Vernsie.
